Health Benefits of Organic Limes

organic-limes

It’s really hard to imagine a kitchen without the taste and smell of fresh limes. I personally love adding freshly squeezed lime into almost every dish that I make. Here are the health benefits of limes/lemons:

Skin Care:

Both limes and lemons are good for killing bacteria on skin and face. Since skin is the biggest organ in body, using lime and lemon can help to get rid of bacteria and toxins on the skin. Mix an organic lemon with organic grapeseed oil and gently rub it on your face and leave it for half an hour before rinsing. The rich source of flavonoids and vitamin C in limes can keep skin shiny by protecting it from bacteria and infections.

Cleansing Body and a Rich Source of Vitamin C and Antioxidants

Limes can cleanse the inner liver and all organs in body; that's why lime fasting is a great way to get rid of toxins. Lime can also promote weight loss by getting rid of toxins & helping constipation. Lime is an excellent Source of Vitamin C & Antioxidants and can help to lower the risk of heart disease and cancer. Vitamin C in lime can neutralize free radicals in the body, reduce inflammation and painful swelling and reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Vitamin C in lime can also improve the immune system and is beneficial for healing flues, cold and sore throat and ear infections. Studies show that consumption of fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C can prevent and lower the chances of strokes, heart disease and cancer.
