Fruit and Nut Superfoods
In this section of Seattle Organic Restaurants I’m going to talk about the health benefits of fruits and nuts superfoods. Fruits and nuts are high source of antioxidants that can get rid of foreign invaders in our body. Our bodies are exposed into many things in the environment such as pollution, bacteria, chemicals, deep fried foods, cooked foods, fast foods and radiation.
When these foreign invaders inside our body get strong our immune system gets weakened. Fruits and nuts are full of antioxidants and antioxidants help to strengthen the immune system and fight with free radicals in the body.
The live enzymes in fruits and vegetables prevent many health problems such as heart attack, cancers like colon cancer, inflammatory problems and allergies. Fruits and nuts are full of nutrients, minerals and vitamins and have many health benefits for the body. Most people might think that nuts are high in calories and that’s true, but nuts have many health benefits and can be a part of healthy diet if one can restrain themselves from over eating nuts.
Research shows that eating a handful of nuts reduces the chances of heart problems by reducing the level of cholesterol. Nuts are great source of protein and full of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids or omega 3 fat. Fruits such as pineapple, mango, papaya, berries (goji berries, cranberries, strawberries, acai berries and blueberries), coconut, maca and noni have been known as superfoods. Nuts such as walnuts, cashew nuts, almonds, pecans, Brazilian nuts and Pistachios are nut superfoods.
