How to Slow Down aging Process

In this section of Seattle Organic Restaurants I’m going to talk about tips on how to slow down aging process. Growing old is inevitable, but why not slow aging process and age gracefully?


A well balanced diet is a diet that includes raw fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts, whole grains and protein (wild salmon). Try to consume less animal products (dairy products and red meat) and eat more kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, seeds, nuts, wholegrain and fruits like berries, papaya, maca, pineapple, mango and noni. Avoid processed foods and sugary beverages.


They both have high fructose corn syrup, artificial coloring and flavoring, chemicals and caffeine that kill and damage the body cells.

Include herbals and spices in your diet

Herbals like garlic, onion, astragalus and echinacea help to boost the immune system. Many diseases are because of inflammation of different organs in the body. Licorice root is anti-inflammatory and anti-allergen. Consume green teas (superantioxidants Yogi green tea is my favorite) that are antioxidant and anti-cancerous. Wild yam is full of steroids that are rejuvenating and can reduce the fat and build muscles in body. Ginseng and bilberry improves brain function, protect the eyes, increase circulation and enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to cells in body. Increase the consumption of micronutrients and reduce your calorie intake

Foods that are high in antioxidants, bioflavonoids, phytochemicals and micronutrients slow down aging process and reduce the accumulation of free radicals in body. Animal products and processed foods that contain GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, high fructose corn syrup, genetically modified soy, artificial coloring and flavor, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers will increase the accumulation of free radicals and accelerates aging. Reduce your salt and sugar intake; avoid caffeine, red meat and cut down all white stuff like white bread, white sugar, white flour, and white rice.

Consume steamed-distilled Water


At least two thirds of our body contains water.You shouldn’t necessary drink when you’re thirsty. Drink even if you aren’t thirsty. Drinking water will filter and clean body from toxins and chemicals and promotes weight loss. People who do not drink water that often get dehydrated. The symptoms of dehydration are headaches, fatigue, cracked lips, overall discomfort and dry nasal passages.

Detoxify and clean your body

Cleansing diet is so important for throwing free radicals, toxicity and heavy metals out. Drink lots of water. Lemon fast diet is one of the best ways to clean your body. This diet simply includes one glass of water, one freshly squeezed organic lime and a spoon of organic maple syrup. Drinking this few times a day for three to ten days cleans your colon. Drink a green smoothie full of fiber and enzymes at least once a week. Get extra fiber by eating fresh fruits and vegetables, oats, bran and whole grain every day. Colon cleansing is one of the most effective ways to prevent colorectal cancer.

Exercise on a Regular Basis

Regular Exercise slows down aging process by increasing the amount of oxygen and nutrients delivered to different organs in the body. Exercising can overcome health conditions like cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and arthritis. For arthritis conditions, swimming is considered a great exercise because it can provides low-impact exercise without putting pressure on joints. Exercising also helps to release endorphin and fight depression, anxiety and obesity.


Do not smoke and eliminate drinking alcohol or sugary beverages

If you are smoker you are putting yourself and the ones around you in danger of many harmful chemicals. Limit your alcohol consumption; however a glass of red wine occasionally is good for heart. Avoid all kinds of soft or energy drinks that contain high fructose corn syrup that can damage the body cells.

Avoid stress and anxiety and get sufficient sleep

Practice techniques that help you relax and not worry about every minuscule thing in your life. Get enough hours of sleep and avoid eating late at night to sleep better.


Do not use deodorants, makeup, creams, lotions and soaps that contain chemicals

I have a philosophy that if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t use it on your skin. Because somehow whatever you put on your skin gets absorbed through your skin inside your body. Use creams, makeup and lotions that contain nutrients and naturals ingredients. Did you know that most lipsticks have lead on them? Wear sunscreen and be aware that exposing your skin to sun promotes free radicals. Stay out of the sun and wear natural lotions and oils that have antioxidants and nutrients.
