The Chaco Canyon Organic Café was opened in September 2003 by owner Chris Maykut who is passionate about organic, raw and sustainable produce. Chaco Canyon Organic Café used to be a tiny basement den next to the original Flying Apron Bakery on the corner of 50th & Brooklyn. With hard work of wonderful folks like Lois Rivera and the Head Chef Chris, Chaco Canyon Organic Café grew and expanded to offer Seattle’s only raw menu. The Chaco Canyon Organic Café now offers monthly “Special Dinners” which is upscale five-course raw meals that are often thoroughly enjoyed by the organic community. The Chaco Canyon Organic Café is dedicated to provide environmentally friendly and certified Organic food and their ultimate goal is providing sustainable food that has zero net impact on the planet. Chaco Canyon Organic Café not only provides unique, healthy, and delicious food for a diverse Seattle community, but is also a blueprint for business that proves that it is possible to value people and the environment as much as profitability and still thrive!
