Maximilien offers tables facing the Puget Sound bay, a view of the ferris wheel, and in the distance, the Olympic Mountains. The view is a fantastic and you can choose to be seated inside or outside on the patio watching the awe-inspiring sunset during your evening meal. The service is extremely courteous, attentive, pleasant and generally lives up to its reputation. Lunch menu offers many tasting options, and every bit of the menu and the presentation extremely satisfying. The maitre'd will greet you in French and if you don't have a reservation during Fridays and Saturdays, do expect to be turned away, if they are full. But in most cases, they will try to be accommodating. The appetisers are very imaginative such as their delicious scallops with creme fraise caviar and chive. Their entree are also amazing such as their king salmon served with fresh peas and garlic or their halibut is smooth and tender. Our editors have been to this restaurant quite a few times and each time they have rated Maximilien quite highly. |

There are many 'bests' at Maximilien, including; paradise bay oysters from Puget Sound (very nice), onion soup (one of the best you can find anywhere) savory pate (yummy), duck, and moules frite. |

Some may like the crowded Pike Place Market and some may want a more relaxed surroundings during their meal. Either way, one cannot complain too much as the parking problems and crowded streets can also be part of the fun of getting to the restaurant. |
