It’s almost impossible to walk around Seattle Belltown neighborhood and miss Wasabi Bistro Japanese Restaurant. Since summer 2000 Wasabi Bistro has been serving an extensive menu of sushi and sushi rolls and recently they reopened after improving the restaurant interior design. The updated modern design of Wasabi is refreshing and there are outdoor seats available in summer time. Wasabi’s is one the top sushi restaurant in northwest and some of their nice fresh dishes are New Wasabi Roll (with fresh garlic on the top) and White Rabbit Roll (with mixture of avocado, salmon, strawberry and mango and a layer of blue berry sauce). Their dessert menu is also amazing, especially the freshly homemade green tea tiramisu and pistachio financier (which they say that they don't have anymore - regrettably) w/ brown sugar buttercream. Bottom line if you like fresh sushi you must check Wasabi Bistro in Seattle!

We have visited Wasabi over a period of about 10 years now. They were closed for about 8 month doing renovations and changing the decor and that was an agonizing 8 months. But they opened again and we have been visiting as often as we can. The service is simply magnificent, the staff are great, the managers (including Bret Wilson) are very attentive. The food is so good, we visit as often as we can. That is all that needs to be said. The neighborhood has gone down a little (at no fault of Wasabi), and about couple of year ago, we were concerned a little since each time we were there we witnessed someone steeling someone's purse or breaking into cars. But in the last year or two, it has been much better and we don't see the drug dealers around there much either. Despite our concern, and the touch time finding parking after 8pm, we couldn't keep ourselves away. |
